Orang Gadang
Alternatively 'Great Man' (local dialect).
This is Sumatra's giant type of Sasquatch, or mysterious primate. It has been suggested this creature might be a descendant of, related to, or even actually a Gigantopithecus, the largest primate that ever walked the Earth which went extinct 500,000 years ago.
This alleged cryptid is also known as Waray-Waray (Philippines) and Kapre.(Eastern Samar).
They are said to stand between 7½ and 12 feet tall — some reports describe slightly taller specimens — and to be covered with bushy dark hair.
Track history seems to point to a non divergent bulbous big toe, and the creatures are believed to be omnivorous. Sightings have been reported for centuries on the forests of Sumatra and Malaya, a region rife with stories, hints and rumors of at least 3 different kinds of primitive hominids.
